Hurry! The Johto Collection Challenge is running alongside the Johto Celebration event in Pokemon Go, starting today up to January 31, 2021 only. This event is a lead up to Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto happening next month.
The Johto Celebration event means that Pokemon in the Johto region increase their spawn rates. So Pokemon like Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, Hoppip, Miltank (which will be made available as a Shiny variant for the first time), and other Pokemon will frequently appear more than usual.
What Is The Johto Challenge?
Pokemon Go releases Collection Challenges paired with in-game events. Collection Challenges make certain Pokemon appear more frequently in the wild. Players will have to catch all the Pokemon in the Collection Challenges to get the rewards. The rewards are usually a number of items and progress your Elite Collector medal.
For January 2021, it is the Johto Collection Challenge for the Johto Celebration in-game event.
