How does Chris Hemsworth feel about Thor: Love and Thunder?

In his words, "I love the fact that I've been able to do something fairly different throughout the process. Thor 1 and 2 were their own thing, Thor 3 and 4 were a very different feel… and then even Avengers, the Lebowski Thor, the Infinity War Thor, due to different directors and I think mostly my own need to do something different."

One thing he made clear, though, is that if he will return as the character, it "would have to be tonally different." Last year, during an interview with Variety, he revealed his belief that the next time he plays the character, if it ever happens, should probably be his last.

If that were to be the case, his latest comment that his next appearance should be different certainly makes a lot of sense. After all, anybody who has played such an iconic role for such a long time would want to go out on a bang. At least, we would.

By the way, the actor decided to take some time away from Hollywood and acting late last year. While his decision is a sad thing for those of us who love the charm and magnetism he brings when he is on screen, we certainly understand the decision especially since it is due to health reasons.

Up next, Hemsworth will wear his battle-stained camo as a mercenary in Extraction 2 – the highly anticipated sequel to his 2020 Netflix hit. The film will debut on June 16 on the streaming platform. We have high hopes for it, especially since Hemsworth believes it's a great film and is interested in making another one.

After that, he will star in another high-octane film titled Furiosa, although as the villain. Directed by George Miller, Furiosa is a spinoff prequel of the 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road that starred Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy. It will rev into theaters on May 24, 2024.
