Guerilla Games' Horizon series is set in a fascinating world. In the current timeline of the 2018 title and the upcoming sequel, much of the world has gone back to living together as tribes. However, before the series of catastrophic events that eventually led to the death of pretty much all life on Earth, the world was already pretty technologically advanced.
Both worlds are interesting, to say the least, which makes the series prime material for spin-off titles if not a movie or a TV series.
With that said, it appears that Sony and its latest acquisition, Firesprite, is working on a VR game set in the same universe as Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West.
