If helping to save the planet, tax incentives, and slashing a percentage off of your usual car maintenance costs aren't enough to convince you to buy an electric car, Sony and Honda's latest proposition might just do it for you.
According to Sony Honda Mobility president and COO (via Financial Times), Izumi Kawanishi, integrating a PS5 into Honda cars is part of its bid to manufacture entertainment-driven vehicles.
It's worth noting that this has been done before to some extent.
Tesla, in particular, added larger horizontal screens to the Model S and X vehicles last year. More importantly, Tesla also upgraded its hardware to include an AMD RDNA 2 graphics chip. Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, compared its performance to a PS5 and promised to let gamers enjoy playing Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3 on the go.
So far, this hasn't happened yet, and we're pretty sure Musk has his hands full with Twitter at the moment. But, if it's Sony who's talking about the promise of a literal PS5 integrated into one of its future vehicles, we can assume that it will eventually happen.
