Hideo Kojima is equal parts ambitious and borderline insane and we mean that in a good way. You can't be "normal" to come up with iconic and genre-defining games like the entire Metal Gear franchise as well as its studio's debut title, Death Stranding.
Given how interesting Kojima's ideas almost always are, you can't blame fans for expressing interest in his projects - even the ones he'd already shelved.
For example, Kojima just revealed on Twitter that he previously considered working on a game starring Mads Mikkelsen with a story that revolved around a "special detective squad facing off against legendary heroes behind the scenes." Unfortunately, Kojima had to cancel the concept because he felt that it was so similar to The Boys.
The Boys is a live-action adaptation series based on a comic book series of the same name that first premiered on Amazon in 2019, the same year that Kojima Production's debut title after parting ways with Konami, Death Stranding, also came out. If Kojima pushed through with his idea, we would have probably heard more about the game by now. But, it's not like it's never going to happen. The Boys previously hinted at a video game adaptation, so Amazon is not against the idea. If the two can work together, we'd love to see what would come out of the collaboration.
