Nobody does it quite like Hideo Kojima. The video game auteur is probably the only developer that can pop by during a showcase, let everyone know that he's working on a new game, and not get any backlash when he doesn't reveal what the game is and when it might come out.

The brains behind the Metal Gear franchise was introduced personally by Xbox head, Phil Spencer, as he talked to audiences about his next project coming to the Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X as well as the Game Pass on day one.

Unfortunately, we know very little about Kojima's next project save that it confirms all earlier reports that Kojima is working with Xbox on something. At the same time, it also debunks rumors that Sony is making a move to acquire Kojima Productions, since it'd be pretty weird for Kojima to work on an Xbox exclusive and be owned by Sony.

By "not" revealing its Xbox project, Kojima also introduced a loophole with respect to Microsoft saying that everything revealed at the Xbox and Bethesda showcase is coming in the next 12 months.
