In 2015, Sony joined hands with Arrowhead Game Studios to develop the shooter video game Helldivers. The title was well-loved by both critics and audiences and has now spawned a sequel titled Helldivers 2. In May, when Sony and the developers revealed the game, they said it will be available by the end of the year. But that has now changed.

On Thursday, during its State of Play event, Sony revealed that Helldivers 2's release has been delayed till next February. Alongside this, we also got a new gameplay trailer that gives us an idea of how we will experience the game.

The three-and-a-half-minute-long trailer starts with the developer's CEO and Creative Director, Johan Pilestedt. Then, we witness Pilestedt and team set off on a mission to liberate Super Earth and eliminate a vicious giant bug, Bile Titan.

To get to Bile Titan, they'll have to take on smaller bugs that form part of an armada protecting it. Their task is difficult and some of them die but they have a few extra lives and are soon back to continue. Over the course of the gameplay trailer, we witness how the team navigates the game and eventually defeat the bad guy.

The trailer shows an authentic glimpse of how we can expect each gameplay session to go. If the game plays exactly like we saw in the trailer, then Helldivers 2 seems like a very fun and interesting game and we can't wait to get our hands on it.
