It appears that the recent leak regarding HBO's The Last of Us was correct.

Less than 24 hours after the premiere date of the highly anticipated live-action was leaked online, HBO has confirmed that it is indeed headed into small screens on January 15 and 16 next year. The former is going to be release date in the United States, specifically, at 9:00 PM Eastern, on HBO and HBO Max. Meanwhile, the latter will serve as the launch date in the United Kingdom on Sky Atlantic and NOW TV.

The first season of HBO's The Last of Us will have ten episodes that will be released every week, which, unless we're wrong, will run until the middle of March.

Takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone.
