James Gunn and Peter Safran recently revealed Chapter 1: Gods and Monsters for the new DC Universe. While several other DC shows have been canceled, one of the current TV series that will be included in DC's future plans is Harley Quinn.
Fans of the animated TV series on HBO max can rest easy knowing that Harley Quinn will continue on HBO Max. Many viewers were concerned that the show would be canceled alongside some of the existing DC projects such as DC's Titans and Doom Patrol on HBO as the new vision for the DC Universe was unveiled.
DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn confirmed that the show will be part of the new slate of projects. We're going to keep forward with that," Gunn said of Harley Quinn.
Peter Safran described the show as "fantastic." This led to a quip from Gunn, "yeah, considering I'm on the show." The director appeared as himself in a series of cameos in the third season of Harley Quinn. In the animated series, Gunn is working on a biopic based on the life of Thomas Wayne.
