343 Industries and Xbox just teamed up to drop a brand-new story trailer for the upcoming new installment in the venerated Halo franchise, Halo Infinite.

In addition, among the many details shared by 343 Industries at E3 2021, one of the biggest highlights is the free-to-play multiplayer online experience.

It seems like 343 Industries is taking a page out of Activision's playbook with Halo Infinite. Unlike previous Halo titles, Halo Infinite's multiplayer component will be free-to-play. The studio also confirmed that audiences will be able to play Halo Infinite Online at launch, along with the single-player campaign.

343 Industries dedicated a two-minute-long highlight reel to showcasing what Halo fans can expect to see from the Halo Infinite multiplayer component. Check it out below:

As you can see from the official Halo Infinite multiplayer reveal, it's going to be more of the same classic Halo gameplay. Of course, 343 Industries is updating it for the next-gen consoles. Outside of the next-gen graphic enhancements, the new Halo Infinite multiplayer will come with much smoother combat and movement, as well as a better loadout system. It also seems like Arena Multiplayer is making a comeback.
