And, just like that, the cycle of video game news continues. After everybody spent weeks talking about Black Myth: Wukong, Concord, Deadlock, the PlayStation 5 Pro, and most recently, Astro Bot, everyone has returned to talking about their favourite subject of speculation, Grand Theft Auto 6.

Shortly after an English musician called out Rockstar Games for low-balling them, an insider is now claiming that Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar find themselves in a bit of a dilemma as they will apparently delay GTA 6 to 2026. Adding fuel to theories, the insider suggests that the PC version of GTA 6 is now planned for release 12 to 18 months after the console launch. If true, this would mean PC gamers might not get their hands on the title until well into 2027 or even 2028.

This latest rumor is sourced from a GTABase staff writer who claims to have insider information from "multiple devs across two studios" indicating that Rockstar Games has internally pushed back the release window for GTA 6 to early-to-mid 2026.

If true, this alleged delay would represent a significant shift from the previous Fall 2025 target, which Strauss Zelnick doubled down on just a few months ago—a truly impending financial disaster.
