Microsoft's monthly subscription service is about to get a whole lot better than it already is with Grand Theft Auto 5 set to make its return. The 2013 title continues to be a moneymaker for Rockstar Games nearly a decade after it first released. Now, it's set to make the Xbox Game Pass a more profitable venture for Microsoft. What's Coming to Xbox Game Pass this April? Xbox Game Pass continues to position itself as the best video game subscription service there is right now.
Xbox Game Pass Community Lead, Megan Spurr, recently confirmed via the Xbox Wire that as many as 8 titles are headed to Xbox Game Pass starting on April 8. In addition to Grand Theft Auto V, the upcoming additions to Xbox Game Pass will also include Sony's first-party title, MLB The Show 21, which is set to launch on April 20.
Other titles include Zombie Army 4: Dead War, Disneyland Adventures, Rush: A Disney/Pixar Adventure, NHL 21, Rain On Your Parade, and Pathway.
Of course, the big takeaway here is that GTA 5 will be available on the Xbox Game Pass.
Rockstar Games' marquee title was previously already available on Xbox Game Pass. However, it was replaced by Red Dead Redemption 2 last year. But, starting on April 8, GTA V will be available on the Xbox Game Pass once again. Perhaps more importantly, if you're subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, you'll get a chance to play GTA 5 straight from your Android device.
While it's not exactly GTA 6, the novelty of playing GTA 5 on a mobile device should help satiate the current demand for the next GTA title.
