Jaguar XJ220 arrives in Gran Turismo 7 in latest update

On top of the highly requested supercar, Update 1.32 also adds two new Super Formula race cars and the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo 2020 to Gran Turismo 7.

Update 1.32 is now available for the PS4 and PS5.

Gran Turismo 7 has gotten massive updates in the last couple of months, highlighted by full PS VR2 support and 120 FPS support for the PS5.

For the month of April, GT7 returns to its regular update pattern. Polyphony Digital released Update 1.32 today, adding four new cars, new races, and some small changes to the game. The update adds Menu Book 47 to the single-player campaign as well as two Extra Menu books. It’s also great news for photographers as a new scene was added to Scapes. Finally, the new update comes with a refresh of the legendary car dealer a day after the release.

GT7 adds the four new cars

Headlining this month’s update is the addition of four new cars, which were teased a few days earlier by the producer of the Gran Turismo franchise, Kazunuro Yamauchi.

Update 1.32 adds the Jaguar XJ220 ’92 to GT7. The car is one of the most requested vehicles by players. The XJ220 was once the fastest production road car in the world with a top speed of 212mph before being dethroned by the McLaren F1.

Group 3 races will be happy with the addition of the AMG Mercedes-AMG GT3 ’20. The new version of the GT3 has seen extensive rework, making the car more reliable in endurance races and much more user-friendly for new drivers.

The new update adds a pair of Super Formula SF23 cars from Honda and Toyota, which have redesigned aerodynamics, improving the handling and making it much easier to use.

New content coming with Update 1.32

The AMG Mercedes-AMG GT3 ’20 can be purchased from the car dealership.

The latest update brings Menu Book 47 that’s unlockable after a player reaches Collector Level 31. The new event adds three races for the Super Formula racers at Circuit de Sainte-Croix, Fuji International Speedway, and Watkins Glen. Players will be rewarded with a six-star Roulette Ticket for completing the new event.

Update 1.32 adds two Extra Menu Books which reward players for collecting specific vehicles. Extra Menu Book 20 focuses on Shelby-branded cars while Extra Menu Book 21 rewards players for collecting Alpine racers.

The newest patch adds two new Scapes locations to GT7. Miyazaki, located in the southern island of Kyushu, and North Yorkshire in the United Kingdom have been added. This brings the total Scapes locations to 45.

Polyphony Digital also reworked parts of the Fuji Speedway to match recent changes to the real-world track. The update also changed the engine sound of the recently added Audi RS5 DTM which was released with the wrong engine sound.

The Jaguar XJ220 ’92 can be acquired via the legendary car dealer.

The new update also has new engine swaps. However, the full list is not included in the patch notes and it will take a while for players to discover which engines are available for swapping.

Gran Turismo Update 1.32 is now available for the PS4 and PS5.
