Last month, Gran Turismo 7 received a massive update that added PS VR2 support for the racing game. Now, this month's update unlocks the power of the PS5 hardware, enabling GT7 to run at a whopping 120 frames per second.

Update 1.31 for Gran Turismo 7 arrived today for the PlayStation 4 and 5. The biggest change coming with the patch is the support for 120fps gaming on the PS5. The increased frame rates should allow racers on the platform to experience an overall increase in the responsiveness of cars when racing.

The update also adds five new cars to the GT7: Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM '19; Porsche 959 '87; Porsche Carrera GTS (904) '64; Toyota Alphard Executive Lounge '18; and Mazda Mazda3 X Burgundy Selection '19.

There are also two new layouts for the famous Nurburgring race track. The Endurance layout combines the Nordschleife and Grand Prix tracks. The Sprint layout is a shorter version of the Grand Prix course and is designed for slower road cars.
