Batman fans, rejoice! After a year-long delay, WB Games Montreal's action-RPG co-op title finally got a release date and it will be here just in time for Halloween. The studio confirmed Gotham Knights' October 25 release date just as fans were expecting the game to be a part of Sony's State of Play event. Although the highly anticipated project didn't make it to the showcase, the news is still very welcome after months of radio silence.

Gotham Knights is one of two Warner Bros.' DC Comics titles set to release later this year. It is not connected to Rocksteady Studios' Arkham trilogy, which is actually getting a sequel in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

WBIE first revealed Gotham Knights at the first DC FanDome event in 2020. The game features a Batman-less Bat-family with Batgirl, Nightwing, Robin, and Red Hood all coming to Gotham following the apparent demise of their adoptive father. From what we've seen so far, the story of the game will revolve around the Court of Owls, a secretive organization that, in the comic books, has existed for centuries with roots that are embedded deep within Gotham City.

As we might have already mentioned, Gotham Knights will support a co-op multiplayer campaign for two.
