Gold bars have been introduced in Fortnite Season 5 as an in-game currency. For each match, a player can earn gold bars by completing tasks such as bounties. A player can spend the gold bars on services or equipment that can help them for that match. These gold bars can only be obtained by doing tasks, and are not available to purchase with real money. Below is the guide on how to earn and spend Fortnite gold bars.

What Are Gold Bars In Fortnite?

As mentioned already, gold bars are an in-game currency that can be spent purchasing and upgrading weapons or hiring NPCs as party members. You just have to find the NPCs that sell these weapons or offer their services.

While you can only use these gold bars when you are in a session, they do carry over for the next session if you haven't spent them. You can stock up in gold bars so that you can buy the best weapons or hire the best allies in order to complete quests like defeating Ruckus.

How To Earn Gold Bars In Fortnite

Gold Bars In Fortnite Season 5 Explained

You can earn gold bars through the following: Completing bounties Finishing quests Loot from eliminated players Finding them in safes, chests, and furniture

Completing bounties is the best method of earning gold bars in large quantities. While Fornite is a battle royale in which you are meant to kill every player that you encounter, bounties make the game more challenging. In order to complete bounties, you have to find a specific player and hunt them down. There is a time restriction in bounty hunting. If it happens that the game assigns your teammate to be hunted, successfully defending them from bounty hunters will earn you gold bars too. Check our exhaustive guide on bounties for more information.

You can also visit some NPCs as they will give you or drop some gold bars if you defeat them. Below is the list of NPCs with gold bars.
