The PlayStation 4 is dead. Sony made it "official" earlier this year when it stopped reporting the unit sales of the PS4. But, there are still a handful of games coming out for the fourth-best-selling video game console in history.
Case in point, God of War: Ragnarok. Although there were initial fears that forcing Santa Monica Studio to support the older console would be a burden on God of War: Ragnarok, Horizon: Forbidden West proved that this isn't the case. But, while Kratos' latest outing doesn't look half-bad on the PS4, the added strain on the aging console will make it sound like it's crying for help.
According to GameSpot, God of War: Ragnarok will force your PS4 to run extremely loud. It specifically uses the sound of a jet engine to compare, and it's on point.
The deafening noise of a PlayStation 4 that sounds like it's about to break aside, God of War: Ragnarok looks and runs incredibly well on the older console. Multiple publications tested the game running at a steady 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second, which is amazing, all things considered. Even if the best way to enjoy the latest God of War title is on a PS5, you don't need to force yourself to get your hands on one to play the game.
