Fans already knew better than to expect the highly anticipated God of War sequel to be released in 2021. So, when Sony officially confirmed that the follow-up to Kratos' romp through Norse mythology was going to be delayed to 2022, nobody was surprised. Since then, the question on everybody's minds has been when the game will be released this year.
If it's any consolation, Sony did give God of War fans something to chew on for a while. After giving the sequel a name and a trailer at last year's State of Play event, Sony released God of War to the PC, much to the delight of fans. Still, gamers can't help but wonder if God of War: Ragnarok will be delayed for the second year in a row. But, if the recent reports are to go by, Kratos' eventual showdown with Thor and team-up with Tyr won't be delayed at all - it will be here within the next four months.
According to a small-time regional retailer in Chile, God of War: Ragnarok will be out in June albeit with no specific date outside of the release month.
