Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is officially making its way to PC on May 16, bringing a new and beloved PlayStation exclusive to a wider audience.
Developed by Sucker Punch Production, Ghost of Tsushima is set in feudal Japan. It follows the journey of Jin Sakai, a samurai warrior forced to forge a new path to defend his home against the Mongol invasion. This is the the first time a Sucker Punch title has been adapted for PC, showcasing a pivotal moment for both the developer and its fans.
PC gamers can look forward to the complete experience with the Director’s Cut, which is a bundle that includes the main campaign alongside the Iki Island expansion and the co-op online multiplayer Legends mode. Furthermore, the PC version boasts a suite of enhancements tailored to the platform, including unlocked frame rates and extensive graphics settings as well as ultrawide monitor support. These features are designed to elevate the game’s breathtaking visuals and dynamic combat to new heights, ensuring that both newcomers and returning fans have the optimal experience.
Nixxes Software, Sony’s resident PC port specialists, integrates the latest technological advancements into Ghost of Tsushima. Players can look forward to NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3, which provide upscaling and frame generation options. In addition to Intel XeSS, PC gamers are full of options for upscaling. The game also supports NVIDIA DLAA and FSR 3 Native AA, allowing for crisper visual quality. Controller support is extensive, with options for customization through Steam Input and the unique features of the PlayStation DualSense controller, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, available for those seeking an immersive experience.
The official announcement of Ghost of Tsushima’s PC release is a long time coming after it was initially revealed by the infamous Nvidia GeForce Now leak. It now joins several other flagship titles on PC, a list that includes God of War, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and later this month, Horizon Forbidden West.
With the pre-purchase option already available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, the fans are eagerly counting down to May 16 to dive into Jin Sakai’s epic tale.
Ghost of Tsushima is currently set to get a live-action adaptation helmed by none other than Chad Stahelski. It’s unclear if a sequel is currently in development.
