At the May 24 PlayStation Showcase, Sony and Konami made every Metal Gear fan's dreams come true with Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. While this highly anticipated remake is still in development without a release date, a collection of Metal Gear classics is coming to tide audiences over.

Before its official reveal, an earlier leak said the collection would be a re-release of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection for the PS3 and Xbox 360, which originally came out in 2012.

Then, the announcement happened and fans weren't quite sure what to expect anymore.

The initial art reveal confirmed Metal Gear Solid (with VR Missions/Special Missions) as well as the HD Collection versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater as part of the collection. But, the original collection had the first two original Metal Gear games, which came out in 1987 and 1990, respectively.

Now, it appears this is the case.
