With March nearly over, players can expect Microsoft and Sony to announce each company's next set of free titles for their respective subscription services. But while Sony isn't likely to announce the PlayStation Plus games for April 2021 until March 31, at the earliest, Microsoft has already beaten them to the punch by revealing Xbox's free Games with Gold for April 2021.

What Are The Free Xbox Games With Gold for April 2021?

As per usual, the Free Xbox Games with Gold for April 2021 will consist of two Xbox One titles along with two Xbox 360 titles.

First up is Vikings: Wolves of Midgard, which will be available from April 1 to April 30. Meanwhile, Gold subscribers will get a chance to download Truck Racing Championship from April 16 until April 30. Neither of these games was close to being popular at their respective peaks, but they're not exactly half-bad. The former, especially, is an excellent Diablo alternative that features Vikings and Norse mythology.

The other two Xbox 360 games are Dark Void and Hard Corps: Uprising, which will be available from April 1 to April 15 and April 16 to April 30, respectively.

Unfortunately, it seems that Microsoft has no intention of improving the game selection for their Xbox Free Games with Gold offerings. This is in huge contrast to Sony. Their main competitor recently gave away Final Fantasy VII Remake in March. At the same time, Sony offered Horizon Zero Dawn to all PS4 and PS5 owners regardless of whether they're subscribed to PlayStation Plus or not.
