Free-to-play My Hero Academia game is coming out on September 28

With the gameplay unveiling, Bandai Namco teased the inclusion of three new characters from the My Hero Academia universe: Eijiro Kirishima, Momo Yaoyorozu, and Ibara Shiozaki, further amplifying the roster of playable characters.

Diving deeper into the game's mechanics, as the battle progresses, players will be confined within a shrinking arena as is usually the case with traditional battle royale dynamics. But, My Hero Ultra Rumble adds its own flavor. Players can exploit Todoroki's ability to wield both fire and ice, utilize Momo's talent to conjure objects, or rely on Kirishima's rock-hard defense. Besides their Quirks, players can resort to hand-to-hand combat, a feature reminiscent of other battle royale games albeit with an anime twist.

My Hero Ultra Rumble's long development journey, from its initial announcement to subsequent beta tests, garnered a mix of anticipation and invaluable feedback. Fans are applauding the developers for their receptiveness to suggestions, which has amplified expectations for the final release. Intriguingly, the game showcases narrative elements that aligns with later developments in the anime and manga storylines. For instance, the protagonist, Deku, is seen wielding his Blackwhip power, a skill he acquires much later in the series.

My Hero Ultra Rumble emerges during a pivotal moment for My Hero Academia, coinciding with the manga's latest chapters. While the game itself doesn't delve into storytelling, the nuanced gameplay elements subtly nod to the series' narrative progression.
