Industry veterans are moving from big AAA companies to form smaller studios. We recently reported that former Battlefield devs are forming a new studio to work on a next-generation shooter. Now, another group of veteran developers is starting another studio called Blank.

Blank. is composed of veteran game developers from CD Projekt Red. Among its co-founders, only one did not work on a CD Projekt Red title. The studio announced that it will be focusing on producing unique experiences for players.

The studio is co-founded by Mateusz Kanik, Jędrzej Mróz, Marcin Jefimow, and Mikołaj Marchewka. Of the four, the only one without experience working on a CD Projekt RED game is Marchewka.

Kanik will serve as game director for the new studio. He worked as the game director for Cyberpunk 2077 and co-game director for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Kanik worked for CD Projekt Red for 15 years before co-founding Blank.

Jefimow and Mróz will serve as Blank.'s executive producers while Marchewka will be the studio's managing director. Several other former CD Projekt Red employees are joining the new studio including design director Michal Dobrowolski and narrative director Artur Ganszyniec. Former Artificer and Techland concept artist Grzegorz Przybyś joins Blank. as art director.
