Over two years later and HBO has finally released footage of the live-action adaptation of Naughty Dog's The Last of Us.

HBO recently dropped a trailer of all the shows coming to its cable and streaming platforms in the next twelve months, which includes a brief glimpse at Pedro Pascal's Joel, Bella Ramsey's Ellie, and Nick Offerman's Bill.

Agreed. Twenty seconds isn't much. But, on the bright side, it's 20 seconds more than what we've had these past two years. If nothing else, HBO just confirmed what we've suspected all along - HBO's The Last of Us will be as faithful of a live-action adaptation as can be. The short shot has everything you'd want from tense music to infected spore growth on the wall and Bill looking stressed.

The First Footage From The Last Of Us Hbo Finally Comes Out

Ultimately, we're glad that HBO is comfortable enough to let us in on what's going on with The Last of Us TV show. It's been a year since we got still images, so a 20-second snippet is a huge upgrade. As a bonus, Pascal looks and sounds a lot like Troy Baker from the games - weary, brooding, and, in general, a man who's lost pretty much everything already.
