Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have officially released the last major patch for Marvel's Avengers.
Marvel's Avengers was operating on borrowed time after it was confirmed that official support for the much-maligned live-service superhero title will end on September 30, three years after it came out.
Update 2.8 brings a laundry list of changes to Marvel's Avengers. The main highlight is the revamped Marketplace. It's now open season to everybody, which means you can redeem nearly all Outfits, Emotes, Takedowns, and Nameplates. The latest update also removes Shipments and Hero Challenge Cards. If an item is locked via campaign progression or the Cosmetic Vendor, it won't be unlocked unless the conditions are met.
As a bonus, Crystal Dynamics is giving anyone who earned a trophy or achievement before April 1 the Founder's Gift, which contains a new Iron Man skin, Variable Threat Response Battlesuit.
