Back when EA was only interested in working on sports games, Fight Night was one of its most popular franchises. In total, Electronic Arts released five installments of the boxing sim from 2004 to 2011, with the last one being Fight Night Champion for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. However, much to the dismay of fans, EA then decided to move on and pursue other titles.
Fast forward to today and it appears that EA is interested in bringing back the long-dormant series of games.
When is EA going to release a new Fight Night game?
According to VGC, EA has already started the development of a new Fight Night game under the codename, Moneyball. Unfortunately, it's not all good news. The report states that EA Canada isn't going to prioritize the next Fight Night game. Instead, the core development of the long-rumored title will have to resume once EA Canada has finished working on the next EA Sports UFC game, which is believed to be scheduled for a 2022 release.
