The latest installment in one of Ubisoft's biggest franchises has received an official release date. The game was originally planned to release in February 2021. Similar to previous Far Cry titles, Far Cry 6 will be an open-world first-person shooter with RPG elements and stealth mechanics. The paradise-like location is ruled by a tyrannical dictator named Anton Castillo, which is portrayed by Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito.
After being delayed from its original February 2021 release date, Ubisoft has confirmed that Far Cry 6 will release on October 7, 2021.
True to their initial promise, Ubisoft showcased gameplay footage of Far Cry 6 for the first time in a recent event. Among the many numerous details revealed about Far Cry 6 was the many tools and weapons that players will have at their disposal. In Far Cry 6, players will fight against the oppressive regime as Dany Rojas.
