Far Cry 6 Gameplay Reveal Scheduled for May 28

For those looking forward to seeing a Far Cry 6 gameplay reveal at E3 2021, you don't need to wait too long.

The upcoming Far Cary 6 gameplay reveal is just one of the many showcases scheduled for the last week of May.

Ubisoft just announced that a Far Cry 6 gameplay reveal is scheduled for May 28. The studio promises that the upcoming showcase will include actual in-game gameplay. This would mark the first time that gameplay footage of Far Cry 6 will be shown extensively since the game was first announced in July 2020.

Ubisoft took to the official Far Cry 6 Twitter account to spread the news while also uploading a teaser trailer on its other social media channels.

Anton Castillo is shaping up to be one of the most memorable Far Cry villains ever.

As already mentioned, the Far Cry 6 gameplay reveal will happen on May 28 at 9:30 AM PT.

If the small teaser trailer uploaded by Ubisoft is to go by, we're going to see just what kind of totalitarian regime Giancarlo Esposito is running in the game's fictional island. Hopefully, the gameplay trailer will showcase more of what is happening on the island and what led to the player's appearance there. Speaking of, we'd also love to see how Far Cry 6 will play, especially after lackluster releases in Far Cry 5 and Far Cry New Dawn.

For those that don't know, Far Cry 6 is set on a fictional island known as Yara. It is under the control of Antón Castillo, who is modeled after and portrayed by Breaking Bad's Giancarlo Esposito.

On the outside, Yara looks a lot like a dream vacation setting. However, underneath the paradise-like facade is an island that's been oppressed by a dictator for years. If the plot and the setting sound all too familiar, it's because it is similar to Far Cry 3, which is widely considered one of the best games in the Far Cry series.

With that said, not much else is known about Far Cry 6 right now. Thankfully, this is all going to change come May 28.

Far Cry 6 currently doesn't have a release date as it joins one of the many delayed games of 2021. Ubisoft's first-person shooter game was scheduled to release on February 18, 2021. However, the game has since been delayed indefinitely. But, if it's any consolation, the gameplay reveal is a good sign that development is going along well.

Here's to hoping that the upcoming Far Cry 6 gameplay reveal will come with a more specific release window.
