In this day and age, a delayed release of either a last-gen or PC port of a successful game is met with apprehension as well as doubt. And, while nobody believed that Avalanche Software could break the unfortunate trend, it appears that the studio might have just done the impossible.
After delaying the PS4 and Xbox One ports of Hogwarts Legacy for further polishing, Avalanche proved all of the doubters wrong.
Obviously, the PS5 version of Hogwarts Legacy looks and runs so much better. But, the PS4 port isn't terribly behind.
As proven in the video above, the PS4 version of Hogwarts Legacy runs at a 1600 x 900 resolution and hovers around 30 to 50 fps with unlocked framerates. On the other hand, the PS4 Pro version runs even better at a 1920 x 1080p resolution, with framerates hovering around 30 to 60 fps.
