Pokemon Legends: Arceus represents a big leap for the Pokemon franchise. Unfortunately, while Nintendo and Game Freak have done a marvelous job at saying all the right things and generating hype for Arceus, it appears that the game might not live up to fan expectations. In particular, a recent leak suggests that Arceus is going to be without a handful of fan-favorite features.

"Missing features" might be the downfall of Arceus

Certain Fan Favorite Features Might Not Be In Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Arceus was always going to be different from previous Pokemon games. For one, it's arguably the first semi-open world Pokemon game in the franchise. Not to mention, it's going to drastically change the established Pokemon formula by giving Pokemon a chance to defend themselves in the wild and even sneak up on unwitting players. But, while most Pokemon fans welcome these changes, we don't think that the potential exclusions detailed in the leak will sit too well with gamers.

According to Riddler_Khu on Twitter, a user that has proven themselves to be a reliable source of Pokemon information, Arceus will not have several standard Pokemon features. For example, Arceus will not let Pokemon hold items. The game is also going to take away certain Pokemon abilities. Even worse, Arceus will not have breeding and it will feature a new stats system that will not use IVs. Finally, players will only be able to catch Arceus once they have completed the Hisui Pokedex, which is no easy task.
