It might seem like everyone from Winterfell to Dorne has watched and re-watched House of the Dragon at least once, but it appears this isn't the case. Believe it or not, Emilia Clarke, who plays one of the few living Targaryens in Game of Thrones, can't bear the thought of watching the downfall of her once proud house. However, once you hear her reason, you can't exactly blame her.
Here's what the Daenerys Targaryen actress had to say about watching House of the Dragon when asked by Variety:
It's too weird. I'm so happy it's happening. I'm over the moon about all the awards… I just can't do it. It's so weird. It's so strange. It's kind of like someone saying, 'You want to go to this school reunion that's not your year? Want to go to that school reunion?' That's how it feels. I'm avoiding it.
We'd have to admit, it'd be pretty weird to watch your ancestors have a go at each other, figuratively, literally, and sexually, in a war that ultimately led to the downfall of the once mighty dynasty. Also, can you really blame Clarke for not wanting to watch a TV show she was a part of for the better part of the past decade?
