Elden Ring continues to sell well for Bandai Namco

After topping 20 million units in sales earlier this year, Bandai Namco confirmed that the game is still pulling in the numbers.

We're just hoping FromSoftware and Bandai Namco don't milk Elden Ring try too soon.

Earlier this year, Elden Ring surpassed 20 million units in sales, and it appears that it hasn’t slowed down one bit.

According to a translated investor report by Bandai Namco, Elden Ring has sold more than 20.5 million copies as of March 31, which is an astronomical figure considering that FromSoftware titles are usually considered “niche”.

Case in point, Dark Souls 3, which before Elden Ring was FromSoftware’s best-selling title, took four years to breach the 10-million mark.

At least one more massive DLC for Elden Ring is coming.

The sales figures are a testament to Elden Ring’s success. Hitting the 20 million mark is no small feat; it’s a clear indication of the wide-spread appeal and acceptance of a game that will make you throw away your controller as much as jump in glee as you finally take down that one boss.

Elden Ring has exceeded all expectations as it has not only sold well but raked in accolades as one of the most GOTY’ed games of all time.

Prior to this milestone, FromSoftware and Bandai Namco had already confirmed their plans to expand the IP beyond just the first game. Given its success, don’t be surprised if it continues to evolve and expand even further. At this point, there’s no telling just how much more massive Elden Ring will become. But, one thing is clear: Elden Ring has already etched its name in the annals of video game history.

We’re just hoping that FromSoftware doesn’t forget about its other properties because of Elden Ring, namely, the still-unreleased remake or remaster of Bloodborne.

The pressure is now on Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon to be an excellent game as the shadow of Elden Ring looms over it.

FromSoftware is currently working on Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring.
