Armored Core fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of the franchise's sixth numbered installment and their long wait is finally coming to an end.
FromSoftware recently released a gameplay trailer for Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, which also confirms the release date of the game, confirming the earlier leaks.
The Armored Core 6 gameplay trailer showcases new features coming to the game, which include next-gen graphics and a revamped customization system. The mecha game will let the players choose from a smorgasbord of mechs, each designed to have a unique ability, strength, and weakness. Armored Core 6 will also make use of its graphics by featuring all sorts of environments from desolate wastelands to high-tech cities.
According to FromSoftware, Armored Core 6 will feature both single-player and multiplayer modes. But, it won't have a co-op mode.
FromSoftware first unveiled Armored Core 6 at last year's The Game Awards and fans have been hyped for it since. Based on the latest trailer, we can assume that Armored Core 6 will be one of the year's biggest and most explosive games. We've no doubt that Armored Core 6 will deliver on the franchise's long-standing action-packed formula of having massive mechs battle it out against each other in semi-open world environments.
Traditionally, FromSoftware has released the Armored Core games exclusively on consoles. But, for Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, FromSoftware will release it on both consoles and the PC.
We'll find out more if Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon will trigger a resurgence for the series when it comes out on August 25.
