The Last of Us Part II and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are some of the "winningest" games in video game history. According to GameAwards.net, the aforementioned games took home 322 and 281 awards, respectively, when they came out. But, the most recent tally from the same tracker shows that Elden Ring has already eclipsed both and the numbers still aren't done adding up.

Before the year ended, Elden Ring proved that it was the GOTY in the eyes of many after it won the GOTY award in Los Angeles and in Japan, among others. But, while FromSoftware's best-selling game was all but guaranteed to go down in the history books, nobody was probably expecting this.

As of the time of writing, the tally gives Elden Ring a total of 324 GOTY awards, which is two more than how many The Last of Us Part II won in 2020.
