Players confused about choosing between whether to start playing multiplayer or the campaign of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on launch day can rest assured knowing that they now have an opportunity to access the campaign early. Activision came out with a surprise announcement today, along with a trailer teasing the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign.
Activision has announced early campaign access for players who pre-order the digital version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This is the first time we've seen Activision do something like this in a while.
Call of Duty players have always faced the dilemma of choosing between multiplayer and the campaign on launch day. Rightfully so, after all, if players decide to play the campaign and dedicate their time to the story, they miss out on ranking up fast with other players.
This can leave those players at a massive disadvantage when they start playing multiplayer later on, having access to inferior weapons, attachments and ranks.
This won't be the case with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 though, as all players who have pre-ordered the digital version of the game can access the campaign a week before the global release, which is scheduled for October 28, 2022.
