At this point, Harry Potter as a franchise is too big to fail. Even the internet's well-known and very vocal contempt for the series' progenitor, J.K. Rowling, isn't enough to severely affect just how popular Harry Potter has become. In addition to several novels and books, as well as the mainline films, Harry Potter has its theme park, a spin-off film series, and an upcoming open-world game. However, had EA pushed through with its initial plans, there would have been a Harry Potter MMO as well.
