Dune fans may have to wait a little while longer to see Part Two as the movie has been delayed to early next year, but at least we just got some new information for the upcoming film.
The second part of Dune has been officially rated ahead of its release. According to the Motion Picture Association film ratings website, Dune: Part Two has been "rated PG-13 for sequences of strong violence, some suggestive material and brief strong language." While the rating doesn't reveal much about the plot, it does give fans an idea of what to expect with the sequel.
Dune: Part Two will bring the second half of Frank Herbert's 1965 novel to the big screen. The official synopsis for the upcoming movie reads: "This follow-up film will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee."
Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides alongside Zendaya as Chani, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica, Stellan Skarsgård as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, Dave Bautista as Glossu Rabban, Stephen McKinley Henderson as Thufir Hawat, Charlotte Rampling as Gaius Helen Mohiam and Javier Bardem as Stilgar.
