Dragon Age: Dreadwolf doesn't have a release date yet, but the game has officially passed a significant milestone.
According to general manager, Gary McKay, the fourth mainline Dragon Age game has completed its alpha milestone. This means that the developers can now play the game from start to finish. Unfortunately, McKay didn't let us in on when we might expect to see more of the next game in BioWare's award-winning RPG series.
Here's what McKay had to say in a blog post: Up to this point, we've been working hard on the various parts of the game, but it's not until the alpha milestone that a game all comes together. Now, for the first time, we can experience the entire game, from the opening scenes of the first mission to the very end. We can see, hear, feel, and play everything as a cohesive experience. There's no fixed timeline from when a game goes from alpha to beta to completion. But, it's a big deal for Dreadwolf to pass this milestone. McKay also took this time to confirm that BioWare is also working on a new Mass Effect game as well as Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Finally, McKay teased that Mass Effect fans won't have to wait for too long to find out more about Mass Effect 5 (or is it 4?). McKay excitedly reveals that Bioware has a team "hard at work envisioning what the future holds for a new single-player Mass Effect game."
