There was a time when BioWare was expected to release at least one new game every year. However, after flubbing Mass Effect: Andromeda in 2017 and Anthem in 2019, BioWare hasn't recovered since. The only game that the developers have released since Dragon Age: Inquisition, that received critical acclaim, and also sold well is 2021's Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, which is a remastered bundle containing all three of the original Mass Effect games.

Having said that, fans do at least have two titles from BioWare to look forward to in Dragon Age 4 and Mass Effect 4.

Now, it appears that Dragon Age 4 could be here soon enough.

According to an episode of GrubbsNax, industry insider Jeff Grubb claims that the latest installment in BioWare's epic fantasy series is on track for a late 2023 release. To be specific, Grubb describes the game's development to be in "very good shape" and that it is at least 18 months away from launch. Although BioWare could push the game back to a later date, a potential release window suggests that the development of Dragon Age 4 is progressing well. Not to mention, the date would align with the previous report that Dragon Age 4 will be exclusive to next-gen consoles.
