Rey Mysterio had an eventful WrestleMania week, accepting the challenge to go up against his son, Dominik Mysterio, at WrestleMania 39, and giving him a beating that he'll likely never forget.
And, oh, did we mention that he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as well? But, while the 619 wrestler has almost always been billed as a babyface - his only heel turn was with Eddie Guerrero and Billy Kidman when they formed the Filthy Animals at WCW - the WWE sees a different future for his son.
Dave Meltzer revealed in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that WWE management sees Dominik Mysterio as a superstar heel. More importantly, Meltzer hints that more father-and-son bouts are on the cards as well.
Dominik Mysterio literally grew up in wrestling. He was involved in one of the more controversial WWE storylines from the 2000s when Eddie Guerrero turned heel and suggested that he was the father of Dominik. The 25-year-old third-generation wrestler even played at this angle in his recent heel turn, which most believed had already culminated at WrestleMania 39. However, judging from the events between the start and the end of the match, something tells us that Meltzer is onto something.
