God of War: Ragnarok was supposed to be one of the biggest games to come out in 2021, until it wasn't. As fan unrest grew last year, Santa Monica Studio finally confirmed that God of War: Ragnarok won't hit store shelves until this year.

Once fans became antsy, Santa Monica Studio went ahead and finally gave the highly anticipated sequel a release date of November 9, 2022.

But, with only a few months to go before it comes out, fans are worried that Sony might delay one of its biggest exclusives again. After all, it wouldn't be the first a PlayStation exclusive will be pushed back to 2023.

Having said that, it appears that God of War: Ragnarok's producer, Cory Barlog, wants fans to worry less about a potential delay.

In a statement on Twitter, Barlog told fans that there will be "no delay" and to "be cool." It's not clear what encouraged Barlog to send out the initial tweet out of nowhere. However, we wouldn't be surprised if Barlog just wanted to kill the toxicity among the gaming community. It's no secret that God of War fans have become entitled as they push to get more footage of the game. We wouldn't put it past Barlog to try and give fans a reason to stay calm in the meantime, especially in light of the recent announcement that Death Stranding is coming to the Game Pass (for the PC).
