"Banger" isn't exactly the most modern word, but it is what a PlayStation Studios' Visual Arts development team member used to describe the (presumably) handful of big exclusives that are coming soon.
As pointed out by VGC, PlayStation Studios animator, Robert Morrison, has taken to Twitter these past few months to hint at several unannounced projects for the PlayStation platform. In one tweet, Morrison said, "PlayStation has some bangers coming out this year." The use of the plural version of the slang word implies that Sony is holding out on PlayStation owners, for some reason.
Upon further digging, Morrison's Linkedin page states that he has worked at PlayStation Studios Visual Arts since 2018 and that he's worked on a "secret" project for the last 3-5 years.
Morisson also made sure that fans knew that he wasn't talking about God of War. Before working for Visual Arts, Morrison was a senior animator at Santa Monica Studio. In a later tweet, the animator clarified that the studio is "not working on Ragnarok, but something equally cool."
