In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Chris Hemsworth revealed he's open to a return to the MCU to play Thor on the condition that Marvel completes his story.
When asked if Thor: Love and Thunder left the possibility of a sequel, Hemsworth said: I feel like we'd probably have to close the book if I ever did it again, you know what I mean? I feel like it probably warrants that. I feel like it'd probably be the finale, but that's not based on anything anyone's told me or any sort of plans. You have this birth of a hero, the journey of a hero, then the death of a hero, and I don't know—am I at that stage? Who knows? Chris Hemsworth has played the role of Thor for 11 years now.
Hemsworth has portrayed Thor, a founding member of The Avengers, for the last 11 years, starring in four standalone films and five separate MCU films, including The Avengers and a short cameo in Doctor Strange. Being among the actors with the longest-running tenure with the MCU, Chris might finally hang up the cape, as he's suggested that the next Thor film will probably be his last.
