Fans have been salivating at the chance to get into the Chamber of Secrets ever since Hogwarts Legacy was announced. It's one of the most iconic locations in the Wizarding World franchise, an infamous hidden labyrinth built by the pure-blooded Parselmouth, Slytherin Salazar himself. Plus, who wouldn't want to face off against the Basilisk hidden inside?

Unfortunately, as awesome as it would've been for the Chamber of Secrets to be an end-game dungeon (or even a hidden location) in Hogwarts Legacy, it appears it won't be in it at all.

As confirmed in a recent leak, Avalanche Software struggled with the idea of putting the Chamber of Secrets in the game. After much consideration, the developers decided against including the dungeon in the game, adding it really wouldn't be making a lot of sense to incorporate a pivotal plot device in a game that takes place hundreds of years before the Harry Potter books and movies.

The Chamber of Secrets appears in the second film and movie, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It's a secret area accessible via the second-flood girl's lavatory, right at the sink tap with a snake engraving on it. Harry, Ron, and Hermoine, with the help of Screaming Myrtle, eventually figured out how to get inside, and, well, the rest, as they say, is history.
