CD Projekt RED has finally released Cyberpunk 2077 to next-gen consoles. In addition to visual upgrades, the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X versions of Cyberpunk 2077 come with several updates and fixes. Although the verdict is still out on whether Cyberpunk 2077 is finally living up to its potential or not, this hasn't stopped CDPR from working on updates. Case in point, there's evidence of a hidden feature that didn't make it to the final version of patch 1.5.
According to DJ_Kovrik, there is a hidden feature in Cyberpunk 2077 following the recent update that the in-game files refer to as a "transmog" system. Not only that, but players can even access the said feature using the Game.EnableTransmog() command via Cyberpunk 2077's console. Although it doesn't look fully fleshed out right now, the basics are there - the feature lets players hide the headgear that they are wearing. Of course, because DJ_Kovrik is a modder, he couldn't help but make an offshoot of the said feature. Instead of just working on the face and head, the Hide Your Gear mod hides any piece of gear that players are wearing.
The most interesting part of this half-baked and hidden Cyberpunk 2077 feature is that it has the makings of something more. A "transmog" system suggests that players will eventually be able to keep the aesthetics of a gear they have acquired. This would allow for further customization of what players want to wear and look like in Cyberpunk 2077, which is one of the best features of games like Diablo 3, Outriders and World of Warcraft.
