CD Projekt RED supported The Witcher 3 for at least two years following its launch in 2015. Nearly the same amount of time has passed between Cyberpunk 2077's release in late 2020 and now, yet the Polish studio still hasn't released a noteworthy expansion for its latest AAA title.
Instead, all CDPR has done these past two years is try and fix Cyberpunk 2077, which, admittedly, worked following patch 1.5. However, now that the makers of The Witcher video games have confirmed that it is working on The Witcher 4, fans can't help but worry if the studio has completely forgotten about the open-world RPG and any DLC for it.
At the moment, Cyberpunk 2077's developers have yet to issue an official statement, but one developer confirmed that the game is far from dead.
According to quest director, Pawel Sakso, CD Projekt RED is "still improving the game" and the studio is "aware that there is work to be done. Sasko's comments came in a recent live stream that a Redditor captured and shared with others.
