Carlito was one of the fan-favorite mid-card WWE stars for the better part of the 2000s. After signing with the brand back in early 2003, was effective both as a heel and as a babyface. Unfortunately, his time with the WWE came to a stop when the wrestling promotion released him in May 2010. But, that hasn't stopped the WWE from bringing him back sporadically and even attempting to sign him long-term. Now, after several attempts, Carlito might finally be ready to sign below the dotted line.
As spotted by Wrestling News, the WWE insider, @BoozerRasslin, claimed that Carlito might sign a new contract with the WWE this time after refusing to do so several times in the past.
Carlito was one of the highlights of this year's WWE Backlash after appearing in front of his hometown crowd in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The apple-spitting, epitome of cool came to the aid of Bad Bunny in his San Juan Street Fight with Damian Priest after Judgment Day, specifically Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor, successfully interrupted the match and fought off the initial reinforcement, Rey Mysterio.
Carlito's involvement was later followed by the rest of the Latino World Order and even Savio Vega, who hasn't appeared in the WWE since 2020 as part of the retirement ceremony of the WWE Hall of Famer, The Undertaker.
