From seemingly out of nowhere, Capcom dropped arguably one of the more interesting titles to appear at the Xbox Games Showcase, Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess.

The upcoming action game seemingly transports players into a world deeply entrenched in Japanese mythology, complete with intimidating monsters, mystifying masks, and a vividly captivating aesthetic.

Although not as esteemed as the other reveals, the announcement held its own among its contemporaries, adding an air of intrigue that surrounded the rest of the event.

While details remain sparse at this stage, the available information hints at a highly engaging gameplay combining action and strategy. Microsoft's Xbox blog revealed that players would have to combat various creatures in a bid to lead the 'Spirit Stone Maiden' on her destined path.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess is set against the backdrop of a sacred mountain desecrated by people, resulting in a blight spreading across the lands. This blight has attracted creatures called the Seethe, posing a significant threat to the survival and prosperity of the inhabitants. Players will be tasked with vanquishing these foul creatures to clear the way for the Spirit Stone Maiden, who is tasked with performing a cleansing rite to restore the lands.
