Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer Content Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer is getting some free maps and modes with the launch of Season 4 on the 17th of June, as well as some returning fan favorites that players just didn't want to say goodbye to. Alongside these new maps and modes, players will also be able to access the new, powerful Hand Cannon Scorestreak. Collateral (12v12/ Strike 6v6) Collateral is incidentally also the name of a Warzone tournament organizer, and an obscure indie game that sort of just vanished. The fancy superyacht genuinely looks like a lavish and luxurious place to chill when it isn't being shot up by soldiers and mercenaries. Rush (6v6) The second classic map returning to the game, Rush drops players into a paintball arena, except this time around the weapons are definitely lethal. Both a close-quarters interior arena and a roomier outside area offering long-range engagements are present making this a versatile map, dropping later on in the season. Multi-Team: Sat-Link In the vein of the current satellite themed story developments, this limited time mode will have you and your squad set up remote satellite uplinks which you need to defend in order to score points, all set in the backdrop of the scenic Ural Mountains. One in the Chamber It's only fitting that a classic mode should be played on a classic map. Enter the fray on the yacht from Hijacked with a single bullet in your weapon - the only way to get more is to get a kill. If you aim isn't true, you can always fall back on melee attacks. Capture the Flag

You just can't beat the classics - CTF is one of the oldest and most beloved game modes across the genre, and it truly is timeless. While no traditional version of it exists in Black Ops Cold War as a permanent mode, you'll have a chance to return to the roots later during Season 4 for a limited time. Zombies Content In Season 4 New horrors come to Zombies in Season 4, both as far as the regular horde-mode and Outbreak are concerned. Zoo Region In Outbreak

Outbreak invites Requiem operatives to take a visit to the local zoo, which has been overrun by the risen dead. Mauer der Toten will arrive to Call of Duty: Zombies later on in Season 4, following players' completion of the new main quest. Warzone Content and Changes

Alongside Multiplayer and Zombies, the free to play standalone battle royale is getting plenty of love as well, with some changes and one surprising instance of something not changing despite previous expectations. Map changes and Points of Interests Jackal's little stunt caused satellite wreckage to rain down on Verdansk, with multiple entire units making landfall in salvageable conditions. These satellites will be new combat hotspots in Season 4, offering not only unique loot and cover, but also a chance to earn seasonal rewards by activating sat-links.

The crash sites won't be marked on your map, but don't worry - finding them should be easy considering the size of the wreckage, the destruction they cause and the smoke rising from the rubble.

While the satellites have changed the environment in Verdansk, some things have stayed the same - curiously, the in-game Nakatomi Plaza building from the 80s Action Heroes update is here to stay. By popular demand, the developers chose not to remove the building from Warzone. Renamed Downtown Tower, the vault has been emptied and opened up permanently now that the challenges associated with it are no longer accessible in-game.

The folks over at Treyarch really, really love Hijacked, to the point of shoehorning it into Warzone as well. The interior space of the Gulag has been cleared out, and a plywood imitation of the Hijacked map's layout was installed, putting a new twist on the battle for redeployment.

Alongside all of these changes, a new set of mysterious 'red doors' have appeared in odd places throughout Verdansk. Leading to a weird, glowy unnatural dimension that vomits ethereal numbers, it isn't clear what this newest set of easter eggs are building up to, but with all the [REDACTED] in the description it is clearly SCP inspired.

Season 4 is offering some limited-time modes for Warzone players, with Verdansk Resurgence Mini leading the charge. The idea behind this mode is to better replicate the small-scale Resurgence mode from Rebirth Island on the Verdansk map, so expect a more faithful adherence to Resurgence rules and a smaller play area.

Later in the season, Payload will bring objective-based gameplay to the battle royale, tasking squads to escort convoys through checkpoints - or destroy them. Buy buildings, build roadblocks and complete contracts to increase your chances of success. For the first time, slaying the enemy isn't your only goal.

Nipping around Verdansk will be all the easier with the brand new Dirt Bike vehicle. It may not offer any extra protection, but it sure will help you get from point A to point B in a jiffy. Gifting System After the apparent success of the Battle Pass Gifting system introduced via the Call of Duty companion mobile app, Activision is introducing new ways to help out your mates in-game. Following the launch of Season 4, it will be possible to gift the Battle Pass, Battle Pass Bundle, or Store Bundles between friends in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - you won't even need the app for it anymore.

Note that 2FA is a requirement for gifting to work.
