At its peak, Breaking Bad was the most-watched cable TV show in America, with the Guinness World Records recognizing it as the most critically acclaimed TV show of all time. It's safe to say that the series must have garnered attention from other parties wanting to make a video game out of it. In fact, the series' creator, Vince Gilligan, wanted a video game set in the Breaking Bad universe. Unfortunately, this never happened, and for those who're hoping that he'll revisit the idea soon - Gilligan had a few fair warnings.
A recent Inside the Gilliverse podcast played host to Gilligan where he shared his thoughts about the incoming finale of the Breaking Bad spin-off, Better Call Saul. Gilligan then had a candid reply once the interview went the route of video game adaptations.
Gilligan revealed that he got to a point where he wanted to ask Rockstar Games if they would do a DLC or spin-off for Grand Theft Auto based on Breaking Bad. Gilligan admits that he isn't much of a gamer, so the terms are lost with him. But, the desire for a Breaking Bad video game adaptation is there.
